Akrikhin at the 30th Russian Pharmaceutical Forum named after N. Semashko

On the 6th of May 2023, the annual Russian Pharmaceutical Forum named after N. Semashko was officially launched. As its partner, Akrikhin has been taking part in the discussion of the industry’s main events for a number of years. This year, one of the keynote speakers at the plenary session was Denis Chetverikov, President of Akrikhin.

The most important point on the agenda was the current state of the pharmaceutical industry in Russia. The  first part of the public plenary session was  dedicated to ensuring sustainability of the pharmaceutical market and maintaining availability of medicines.

‘Manufacturers have adapted to the new logistics, and there are no supply problems. We launched the search for alternative suppliers quite a long time ago, which has allowed us to readjust promptly, without compromising our product quality. I would like to point out that in 2022,  Akrikhin had less items out of stock than in the previous years. The company’s manufacturing and release rates remain stable. Speaking about changes in our product range, I can say that such reviews have always been performed in our company. It only has to do with evaluating cost-effectiveness of our product range and does not depend on the current political situation’, explained Denis Chetverikov, President of Akrikhin.

At the end of the meeting, the speakers agreed that in order to ensure availability of medicines in Russia we need to understand the role of everyone involved in the process, from pharmaceutical manufacturers and pharmacy chains to the government.
Each year, the Russian Pharmaceutical Forum named after N. Semashko becomes one of the main open dialogue platforms for the entire industry.  Over 400 representatives of big pharma companies, domestic and international pharmaceutical manufacturers, regulatory authorities, leading distributors and pharmacy chains, as well as heads of associations, consulting firms, equipment manufacturers, IT companies, and  financial organizations participated in its 30th edition.
