EAGP Executive Director Irina Spichak Takes Part in Technological Independence: Natural Selection?

In a video interview, Prof. Irina Spichak, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, talks to students about Russia’s pharmaceutical industry.

The Technological Independence: Natural Selection? project is designed to promote domestic production, and to strengthen the image of pharmaceuticals and medical products developed and manufactured in Russia so as to win the trust of the professional community, doctors and patients. The project is carried out by GxP News, a news platform on good practices in pharma, with the support of Russia’s Ministry of Industry and Trade. Having joined the project, GEN Pharma Rus has launched a social initiative, a series of video interviews with the industry’s leading experts, where they answer students’ questions about pharma and its development. In her interview, Irina Spichak responded to various questions, including ‘How are food supplements different from medicines?’, ‘Who is the most important person at a pharmaceutical enterprise and why?’, ‘Is it fair to say that manufacturing medicines in Russia is easier?’, and ‘Do we have less complicated regulations than elsewhere?’ Prof. Spichak also talked about brand new medicines developed in Russia recently that do not exist anywhere else and that the country can be proud of.
