EAGP Hosts Meeting with International Pharma Market Players

On 28 September, the Academy held a coffee meeting for international delegates at the All-Russia GMP Conference in Yekaterinburg.

The event featured guests from 12 countries, including Minister of Health of the Republic of Nicaragua Martha Veronica Reyes Alvarez,

WHO Representative in the Russian Federation, as well as representatives of the ministries of health of Belarus, Kyrgyz Republic and Serbia, the National Center for Expertise of Medicines & Medical Devices of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Health, Armenia’s Scientific Center of Drug & Medical Technology Expertise named after E. Gabrielyan, the GP Center of Uzbekistan’s Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency, the Jordan Food & Drug Administration (JFDA), Montenegro’s Institute for Medicines & Medical Devices (CInMED), Myanmar’s Food & Drug Administration, Peru’s Directorate General of Medicines, Supplies & Drugs (DIGEMID), and Iran Food & Drug Administration (IFDA).

After welcoming his international colleagues, Vladislav Shestakov, Director of the State Institute of Drugs and Good Practices, Russia’s Ministry of Industry and Trade, gave an overview of VR Pharma Factory, the Academy’s state-of-the-art training solution.

Having introduced the guests to the Academy, Prof. Irina Spichak, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Executive Director of the Eurasian Academy of Good Practices, expanded on the Academy’s Expert Committee, featuring top industry experts and first-class professionals, as well as representatives of the EAEU regulatory authorities. Irina Spichak also talked about the Academy’s training programs that are in demand with overseas students, and its international outreach activities, including the professional excellence awards GxP-Profi and GxP Fest for university students.

Nadezhda Arkhipova, Head of GMP Inspector Training Center, showcased special programs for training inspectors across the world.

To close the meeting, Irina Spichak handed out souvenirs and invited her international colleagues to partnership. After that, the guests were able to experience VR Pharma Factory in person.

All in all, the event proceeded in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The guests showed a lot of interest in the Academy’s inspector training programs and VR Pharma Factory, identifying the first steps toward cooperation with the EAGP right away.
