Dear colleagues,

The Eurasian Academy of Good Practices was established with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Eurasian Economic Commission. As an educational organization, it provides postgraduate training programs for pharmaceutical professionals. Other areas include expert, research, consulting and outreach activities.

The Academy offers over 40 upskilling programs every year. In 2022, about 430 students, of which 15% came from outside Russia, were awarded certificates. Our topic-specific webinars have been a success, attended by almost 12,500 people last year. Other learning formats have also been in great demand, such as short-term intensive training, including weekend-long programs, corporate events and tailor-made courses for pharma companies.

We constantly monitor new trends and provide the most in-demand courses for a wide range of pharma professionals. Our training programs cover the entire product cycle and meet the industry’s needs. In response to new challenges, we have delivered courses on effective supply chain management, bringing registration dossiers in compliance with the EAEU requirements, risk and crisis management for leadership, and many more.

What makes learning at the Academy stand out is its hands-on approach. In fact, hands-on sessions account for up to 40% of training, with a wide use of simulation-based learning. One of the hi-tech learning innovations implemented at the Academy is our VR Pharma Factory that helps hone necessary skills with the use of virtual reality.

We pay particular attention to the potential of our teaching staff. Currently, it includes over 70 people, of which 25 are Doctors and Candidates of Sciences. To develop and deliver its courses, the Academy employs representatives of regulatory authorities, leading industry experts, university professors, and professionals with a proven track record in pharmaceutical inspection in the EAEU. The new learning format, created as part of network agreements with market players, helps solidify knowledge at a real-world fully GMP-compliant production site, and acquire relevant professional competencies.

We are constantly striving for excellence, and we are really happy to receive positive feedback. Upon completing their training at the Academy, over 90% of students have expressed satisfaction with the achieved results. And almost 90% would recommend our courses to their colleagues.

The Academy positions itself as an expert platform where the industry could interact with the EAEU regulatory authorities. The Academy’s permanent Expert Council brings together regulators and top professionals of the largest pharma companies from all across the EAEU. The Council drafts proposals for the development and updating of GxP guidelines, standards, and other regulatory documents. In 2022, its six working groups featured over 200 specialists.

The Academy counts four research and consulting divisions: the Research & Expert Center for the Development and Registration of Medicines, the Business Development Appraisal & Consulting Center, the Legal Appraisal & Consulting Center, and the Research Center for Accessibility of Medicines.

The Academy has gained recognition for its educational and outreach services. Besides taking an active part in industry events, we also carry out two projects of our own which have garnered positive reviews from the professional community.

The first of these two is the international student GxP Fest. One of its main goals is to promote the pharmaceutical industry with top students, inspire interest in building a career in the industry, identify the most promising students, and help to upgrade pharmaceutical education with the focus on industrial pharmacy. GxP Fest attracts students and postgrads from across Russia, the EAEU and other countries. The 2022 edition featured 780 participants, 40 teacher teams, and 92 student teams representing 61 universities from Russia and the EAEU, joined by over 4,000 people who took part in online competitions.

The Academy’s other important event is the international professional excellence awards GxP-Profi. It is designed to identify quality assurance leaders among the EAEU pharmaceutical manufacturers, promote the best innovative solutions, enhance the image of the EAEU pharma companies, and boost their competitive advantage in the global market. In 2022, a total of over 20 entries were submitted by participants from Russia, the EAEU and other countries. The 10 projects that made it into the finals were revealed to the public at Pharmtech&Ingredients, the largest industry fair in Russia and the EAEU. The presentations caused a real stir. The 2023 editions of GxP Fest and GxP-Profi promise to be even bigger.

Overall, the Academy is currently focused on the international market. We are developing courses in English and a simulation learning solution for universities. We make sure that all our projects and educational programs are always up-to-date, and do not fail to respond to industry’s needs and feedback.

We are looking forward to seeing you among our partners and students.

Achieving top results together!
